Is that a cow and tractor outside Inverness Royal Academy?!
Published 30/09/25No, you weren’t seeing things last Wednesday! Our S2 pupils enjoyed a fantastic hands-on day of learning at our very own Food Festival 2025

In partnership with RHET and supported by DYW, pupils explored everything from cooking local food with Highland chefs to discovering how farming, machinery, and nature all connect to what’s on our plates.
A huge thank you to Fran Matheson who coordinated the event on behalf of RHET Highland, our very own Miss Macdonald, DYW and all our partners — including NHS Highland Public Health, Quality Meat Scotland, Highland Council Catering Services, Loch Ness Rural Communities, and many more - for helping our young people learn about local and seasonal food, food miles, and the world of agriculture.

Gold DofE Success!
Published 24/09/25
On the 10th of September three groups set out on their Gold Duke of Edinburgh expedition. The route used was the Affric-Kintail way with one group heading East and the other two heading West. This was a challenging route with sections of rough terrain and days of up to 20km. The groups endured heavy squally showers during the day and had to cope with near constant overnight rain on Thursday. All of the group members should be proud of their resilience and spirit
