School Transport
Highland Council provides free transport for pupils living in our catchment area based on the following criteria:
- if they are under 8 and live more than 2 miles from school
- if they are 8 or over and live more than 3 miles from school
- if they have a medical condition or additional support needs
- if they would have to walk a route which is considered by us to be unsafe for children to walk, even when accompanied by an adult
You can apply for free school transport here
Season tickets for public service buses from Foyers and Whitebridge are supplied through the Education Office, Unit 4C, Dalfaber Industrial Estate, Aviemore. Details of all bus services are available from the bus station at Farraline Park.
We expect pupils to behave sensibly on the buses and the co-operation of parents is essential to achieve this.
Full details on the Highland Council school transport protocol can be found here
Please note that transport is not a school responsibility and inquiries, comments or complaints about school transport should be put to public.transport@highland.gov.uk. or be addressed to the Transport Development Officer, Highland Council, Glenurquhart Road, Inverness, IV3 5NX.
